IV Therapy

IV Therapy Menu

What is included in IV therapy?

Alpha Lipoic Acid 25mg/ml

Several studies suggest alpha-lipoic acid helps lower blood sugar levels. ALA supplementation promotes the reduction of body weight and fat mass by decreasing food intake and enhancing energy expenditure. Alpha-lipoic acid has strong antioxidant properties, which may reduce inflammation and skin aging, promote healthy nerve function, lower heart disease risk factors, and slow the progression of memory loss disorders.

Amino Blend (glutamine 30mg, Ornithine 50mg, Arginine 100mg, Lysine 50mg, Citrulline 50mg)

Arginine is known to increase the activity of insulin, which manipulates hormones that metabolize fats. It also increases strength for exercises, thus making it effective in a weight loss program. Citrulline is an amino acid that promotes protein synthesis and fat loss by reducing blood sugar production in the liver, it targets abdominal fat loss. Ornithine is linked to increases in growth hormone secretion.

Ascorbic Acid 500mg/ml

Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant, proven to help neutralize the free radicals in our body that lead to oxidative stress. This helps to prevent premature skin aging and delay the visible signs of biological skin aging.

Biotin 0.5mg/ml

Biotin stimulates keratin production in hair and can increase the rate of follicle growth, it can strengthen hair and add shine. Other benefits may include heart health, blood sugar levels, reduced deficiency in pregnancy and breast feeding, repairs tissues and muscles and regulates metabolism. Biotin promotes immunity and brain function. If you are getting any lab work for your thyroid, this will need to be stopped 2 weeks prior to your labs.

Glutathione 200mg/ml

Glutathione is a super-powered antioxidant with free-radical scavenging activity that protects your body from disease and the effects of aging. Glutathione may help stimulate hair growth, as it prolongs the anagen stage of the hair cycle, which means a reduction in hair loss in most individuals.

Magnesium Chloride 200mg/ml

Magnesium is a cofactor for intracellular processes. It is used in enzymatic reactions and helps with our body’s energy supply. Also helps with relaxation and blood pressure and stress. It supports our muscle recovery.

Methylcobolamin 5mg/ml

Vitamin B12 should reduce fatigue and therefore improve muscular endurance. Since Vitamin B12 is crucial to the production of nerve cells, RNA/DNA and red blood cells, energy levels come into play. It is important for our growth, cell reproduction and nervous system. B12 also aids in reaction associated with metabolism of fats, carbs and protein synthesis.

MIC+B12 (25mg-50mg-50mg-330mcg/ml)

May boost metabolism by playing a key role in digestion and metabolism of fats, proteins and carbs. May aid in removing fat from the liver. May increase energy, mood via serotonin/gut health, and memory processes as well as brain function. By lowering glucose and increasing ketosis there is greater weight loss and energy increased. Methionine may aid athletic performance by supporting bone strength and its role in creatine synthesis. Inositol may assist in enhancing stamina and muscle building. Choline may enhance muscle performance during exercise and improve stamina through its activity at a cellular level. Choline supports communication with muscle fibers and promotes muscle recovery following repetitive motion, resulting in better overall training output. G6PD levels should be tested every six weeks. If the patient does not want lab work, they will need to take 4 weeks off from receiving the MICC injection. If the patient is a high risk cardiac patient, we need to obtain homocysteine levels.

Mineral Blend- Mag Cl 80mg Zinc 1 mg, Copper 0.2 mg, Manganese 0.02 mg, Selenium 20 mcg

Combat fatigue by improving muscle recovering via the mitochondrial support at a cellular level.

Ondansetron 1mg/ml

Combats nausea from food poisoning, migraines and viral illnesses.

Pyridoxine 100mg/ml

B6 is key to the immune system as it also plays a role in producing white blood cells and T cells. These are key regulators in our immune response.

Toradol 30mg/ml

Toradol is a super non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that helps with pain relief.

Tri-Immune-Ascorbic Acid 200mg/ml Glutathione 200mg/ml Zinc 2.5mg/ml

Vitamin C and Glutathione are powerful antioxidants that help the production of lymphocytes and phagocytes aka our white blood cells. They reduce the risk of diseases and may improve iron deficiency. It protects cells from free radicals and can shorten wound healing time. Zinc blocks viral replication, and helps the immune system fight off invading bacteria and viruses. The body also needs zinc to make proteins and DNA, the genetic material in all cells.

Vitamin D3 50,000U/ml

Vitamin D3 increases calcium absorption from the gut as well as phosphorus. Both are key minerals for bone health. It is multi-functional in our body; our immune and nervous systems need Vitamin D to operate. It is considered important in cell differentiation, proliferation, and immune function. It is an important factor in prevention/treatment of some forms of cancer, osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, obesity, psoriasis, and psychiatric diseases. After 1 injection, we will need to check your vitamin D3 levels.

Zinc 10mg/ml

Zinc blocks viral replication and is crucial for normal development and function of cells mediating nonspecific immunity such as neutrophils and natural killer cells.

Lab Work Plans

If you receive IV therapy or IM therapy, we require the lab packages to be performed at the frequency listed below. Please see our cash rate below and if you have insurance questions, please speak with the nurse for additional information.

If you get 1-2 IV therapies a month, we need lab work after 90 days of receiving therapy before receiving additional therapy. After the initial labs, depending on results, these are typically done annually. For IM therapy, the lab frequencies vary and are listed below. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know. We do not want to hinder your IV therapy, but we also want to ensure that you are staying in range.

What are these labs for?

B12– Detects B12 deficiency as in pernicious anemia; diagnose folic acid deficiency;

CBC– As a screening test to evaluate overall health; detect and/or identify a wide range of hematologic disorders; assist in managing medications/chemotherapeutic decisions.

CMP– A comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP) is a test that measures 14 different substances in your blood. It provides important information about your body’s chemical balance and metabolism. Metabolism is the process of how the body uses food and energy. A CMP includes tests for the following:

Glucose– a type of sugar and your body’s main source of energy.

Calcium- one of the body’s most important minerals. Calcium is essential for proper functioning of your nerves, muscles, and heart.

Sodium, potassium, carbon dioxide, and chloride. These are electrolytes, electrically charged minerals that help control the amount of fluids and the balance of acids and bases in your body.

Albumin-a protein made in the liver.

Total protein= which measures the total amount of protein in the blood.

ALP (alkaline phosphatase), ALT (alanine transaminase), and AST (aspartate aminotransferase). These are different enzymes made by the liver.

Bilirubin- a waste product made by the liver.

BUN (blood urea nitrogen) and creatinine- waste products removed from your blood by your kidneys.

G6PD– Evaluate glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency. G6PD deficiency, an X-linked disorder, is the most common enzymatic disorder of red blood cells in humans, affecting more than 400 million people worldwide. The clinical expression of G6PD variants encompasses a spectrum of hemolytic syndromes. Affected patients are most often asymptomatic, but many patients have episodic anemia, while a few have chronic hemolysis.

Histamine- This test is used for the measurement of histamine in plasma. Histamine is a central mediator of allergic response.

Magnesium- Magnesium deficiency produces neuromuscular disorders. It may cause weakness, tremors, tetany, and convulsions. Hypomagnesemia is associated with hypocalcemia, hypokalemia, long-term hyperalimentation, intravenous therapy, diabetes mellitus, especially during treatment of ketoacidosis; alcoholism and other types of malnutrition; malabsorption; hyperparathyroidism; dialysis; pregnancy; and hyperaldosteronism. Magnesium deficiency is described with cardiac arrhythmias. The concept that magnesium deficiency may cause arrhythmias is repeatedly expressed. Increased magnesium levels relate mostly to patients in renal failure. Marked increases may be found in such patients who take magnesium salts (eg, as antacids which contain magnesium).

Vitamin D3- Vitamin D plays an integral role in calcium homeostasis and the maintenance of healthy bone. Vitamin D stimulates the absorption of calcium at the level of the intestine and may also serve to increase calcium and phosphate resorption at the kidney level. Deficiency of vitamin D leads to the mobilization of calcium from bone, which can lead to osteoporosis, osteomalacia, and rickets.
